Ihre Rolle

Ihre Position ist als Teil der ESG-Rating-Agentur in der EthiFinance-Gruppe im Team Research & Operations angesiedelt. Das Team ist für die Erstellung und Lieferung von Nachhaltigkeitsratings für europäische Unternehmen sowie Second Party Opinions für grüne, soziale und nachhaltige Anleihen zuständig. Dabei betreuen wir Kunden in ganz Europa.

Als Teil eines Sektor-Analyseteams erstellen Sie zukunftsorientierte und qualitativ hochwertige Second Party Opinions sowie Nachhaltigkeitsratings. Sie arbeiten an der Erstellung von Second Party Opinions zu nachhaltigen Finanzierungsinstrumenten mit und sorgen für eine zeitnahe, qualitative hochwertige Lieferung für Kunden in Deutschland, Österreich und der deutschsprachigen Schweiz. Dabei arbeiten Sie eng mit einem europäischen Team aus Analyst*innen sowie den bewerteten Unternehmen zusammen.

Ihre Aufgaben

Analyse und Bewertung von Unternehmen und Emittenten
Anfertigung von Second Party Opinions (SPOs) sowie Nachhaltigkeitsratings
Enge Zusammenarbeit und Austausch mit Kunden und Unternehmensvertretern, um ein tiefgehendes Verständnis des Geschäftsmodells, der Geschäftsprozesse sowie der ESG-Performance zu erhalten
Vorstellung der Ergebnisse vor dem Team sowie Präsentation vor den Kunden
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem Sektorteam sowie dem Sector Research Lead
Durchführung von Qualitätsprüfungen für ESG-Ratings und Second Party Opinions sowie Kontroversen für Unternehmen innerhalb des eigenen Sektors
In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Team behalten Sie Vorschriften, Normen und (neue) Standards zu ESG-Themen sowie Best-Practices im Auge

Ihr Profil

Abgeschlossenes Masterstudium – beispielhafte Schwerpunkte: Politikwissenschaften, Volks- oder Betriebswirtschaft, Nachhaltigkeit, Finanzwirtschaft etc.
3 – 5-jährige Berufserfahrung mit Nachhaltigkeitsbezug oder vergleichbarer Funktion
Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Bereich Corporate Sustainability und den damit verbundenen Normen, Standards und Vorschriften
Eigenständige, verantwortliche und verbindliche Arbeitsweise gepaart mit effizienter Arbeitsstruktur und Organisationsgeschick
Fähigkeit zur Bewältigung eines hohen Aufgabenvolumens bei knappen Fristen
Rasche Auffassungsgabe, hohe Selbstständigkeit und analytisches Verständnis mit Blick für das Wesentliche
Starker Teamgeist mit ethischen Werten und Engagement für die Förderung von Nachhaltigkeit und verantwortungsvollen Geschäftspraktiken
Fähigkeit, mit hochrangigen Unternehmensvertretern auf Augenhöhe zu kommunizieren
Sehr gute Kommunikations- sowie Präsentationsfähigkeiten
Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, gute Französischkenntnisse von Vorteil

Your role

The position is part of the ESG Rating Agency of the EthiFinance Group and situated within the Research & Operations Team, which produces Sustainability Ratings of European companies and supplies Second Party Opinions for green, social and sustainability or sustainability-linked bond/loan issuers. We serve customers across Europe.

As part of a sector analyst team, you will prepare forward-looking and high-quality Second Party Opinions as well as ESG Ratings. You contribute to the production of Second Party Opinions on Sustainable Financing instruments and ensure a timely, qualitative and compliant roll out of production for clients located in Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. You will work closely with a European team of analysts and have frequent contact with assessed companies.

Your tasks

Analysis and assessment of companies and issuers
Preparation of Second Party Opinions (SPOs) and ESG Ratings
Close collaboration and dialogue with clients and company representatives to gain an in-depth understanding of the business model, business processes and ESG performance
Presentation of the results to the team and presentation to customers
Close collaboration with the sector team and the Sector Research Lead
Conducting quality checks for ESG Ratings and data products as well as controversies for companies within its own sector
In cooperation with the team, you keep an eye on regulations, norms and (new) standards on ESG topics as well as best practices

Your profile

Master’s degree in Political Sciences, Economics or Business Administration, Sustainability related fields or similar
At least 3-5 years experience in a sustainability-related or otherwise relevant position
Very good knowledge of Corporate Sustainability and relevant norms, standards and regulation
Independent, responsible and binding way of working paired with efficient work structure and organisational skills
Ability to work autonomously and deal with a high volume of tasks against tight deadlines
Quick comprehension, high level of independence and analytical understanding with an eye for the essentials
Strong team spirit, ethical values and commitment to promoting sustainability and responsible business practices
Ability to engage with senior corporate representatives on an eye-to-eye level
Robust communication and presentation skills
Fluency in English and German; a professional level in French would be a plus
